Congratulations on winning the Grand Prize!

Thank you.

Firstly, can you give the readers a simple self-introduction?

Uhh, hello everyone. I am Izumi, the one who won the Grand Prize for this 3rd Narō Con. I have debuted as a light novelist, realizing my decade-long dream of becoming a novelist.

So, let us begin with questions regarding the award-winning Orefura!

Alright! Hit me with any amount of questions!

This work is based on breaking the worst "established story". This very interesting entry point is used as the theme. Please share with us on how you thought of this theme, like any anecdote or fateful encounters.

Actually, there's a prototype for Orefura. When I was in college, I wrote a little novel that's about changing a future set ending with whatever means necessarily, and this is the part that has been passed down from that novel.

That novel is not about preventing one's own demise, instead the story involves going around to prevent the friend's death. But since that story is set in the modern times, I don't think it's suitable on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, where fantasy isekai works are mainstream. And by adding Narō style flavor into the work, Orefura is born.

Regarding Harold's lines "How did my thoughts came out like that?!" (laughs), I'm sure all readers have thought of it before. Thinking of those lines must've been hard.

To be honest, I'm a little regret on setting the speech filter like that, as it's quite difficult to come up with sarcasms or harsh lines.

However it's easy to see how it turned up like that, so it's really my own fault. But if he can speak and explain normally, then one of the main element of the work, "misunderstandings" won't exist effectively. So that's why it ended up like this.

During writing, there must've been many "It wasn't in the original plan", are there any similar cases for this work?

Although it's a little different, but I never actually thought of ever showing Erica's brother, Itsuki Sumeragi, before his debut. He first debut in chapter 19, which was only thought out while writing the previous chapter.

It's because after Erica is married away, there won't be any heir for the Sumeragi, which is quite a superfluous reason. So he is a character that is born "outside of the original plan".

When the story reaches its climax, how many death flags will Harold have risen? I am really looking forward to that.

Please cheer for Harold's bravery, for one who has stood up against so many death flags.

To Be Continued.
